Drainage Composites

Drainage composites ensure a reliable drainage by using combinations of special permeable geosynthetic materials. They are used mostly as a substitute for a drainage layer from natural materials (gravel). They can provide for a gas or liquid drainage. Drainage composites are made by a tougher drainage core from polypropylene (PP) or polyetylene (PE) and a nonwoven polypropylene (PP) geotextile filter in one or both sides of the core. One geotextile can be also replaced by an impervious flexible membrane.

Slopes of cuts and embankments
Landfill slopes and bed
Single bank layers drainage
Drainage of separate embankment layers

MacDrain^®1W, 1L, 1S, 2W, 2L, 2S drainage composites consist of extruded polypropylene (PP) fibres creating a conic form of the core which are covered from one or both sides by a nonwoven polypropylene (PP) geotextile filter.

MacDrain^® N drainage composites consist of extruded polypropylene (PP) fibrers in a mesh configuration, covered from one or both sides by a nonwoven polypropylene (PP) filter geotextile or by a combination of one geotextile and a low density polyethylene (PE) membrane.
