Drainage Composites
Drainage composites ensure a reliable drainage by using combinations of special permeable geosynthetic materials. They are used mostly as a substitute for a drainage layer from natural materials (gravel). They can provide for a gas or liquid drainage. Drainage composites are made by a tougher drainage core from polypropylene (PP) or polyetylene (PE) and a nonwoven polypropylene (PP) geotextile filter in one or both sides of the core. One geotextile can be also replaced by an impervious flexible membrane.

-
Single bank layers drainage
-
Drainage of separate embankment layers
-
Other special applications
Technical Data Sheet
MacDrain® N drainage composites consist of extruded polypropylene (PP) fibrers in a mesh configuration, covered from one or both sides by a nonwoven polypropylene (PP) filter geotextile or by a combination of one geotextile and a low density polyethylene (PE) membrane.
