CE MARKING
The Group Officine Maccaferri S.p.A. has been one of the first manufacturing companies in Europe to be entitled of CE trademark according to ECC 89/106 Construction Products Directive. Geotextile and steel Wirand Fibres for structural use in concrete have been CE marked since the issuing of the relative Harmonized European Standard.
Under the continuous improvement of the Quality of Production, by now the Group Officine Maccaferri add to the list of the certified products under CE mark, the main products, form the historical and symbolical point of view,
- Double Twist steel wire mesh Gabion and Reno Mattresses
For these specific products there is neither a harmonized standard, nor a mandate for a harmonized standard, so that and Officine Maccaferri group, through a more complex and longer procedures, applied and obtained the European Technical Approval– ETA -08/0282. European Technical Approval is a favourable technical assessment of the fitness for use of products for the following intended uses:
- Soil Reinforcement,
- Hydraulic Works,
- Erosion Control,
- Noisy Barriers,
- Architectural purposes.
- Roadmesh products
According to European harmonized standard: UNI EN 15381:2008. For the specific intended use for Asphalt Pavements and Reinforcement in asphalt overlays.
As well as other products such as geotextiles and steel fibers - Wirand for structural use in concrete are certified in accordance with ECC 89/106 and issue CE declaration of conformity.
